The LEHZ is the most common electric gripper, with the most sizes. The motor drives a slide screw coupled to a lever assembly. The levers open and close the fingers, which follow a linear guide for alignment and stability. The narrow fingers are 12 to 36 mm long, with several optional tool mounting arrangements. A flat finger option is also available.
SMC offers three different series of two-finger electric grippers (LEHZ, LEHZJ and LEHF), each with its own unique features. LEHS is available with three fingers. Dust covers, low profile fingers and long stroke options are some of the series options. The 3 finger type is ideal for holding round work pieces. Benefits of electric grippers include adjustable gripping forces, a drop prevention function, and capability for recognizing different dimensions and outputting length measurements.
