SMC’s JSX/JSX* Series of two-port solenoid valves is a direct drop-in replacement for ASCO™ valves, offering the same functionality at a significantly lower price. Here’s an overview of some of the key features of these units.

Energy efficiency. Valves incorporate new coil technology that maximizes magnetic efficiency, resulting in a 10% increase in coil force and 14% reduction in power consumption compared to previous models.

Durability. Designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, units incorporate a stainless steel cover and IP67-rated enclosure, providing superior resistance to corrosion and water ingress. This durability makes them suitable for outdoor and industrial environments where exposure to moisture and corrosive substances is common.

Lightweight design. The JSX valves are compact and lightweight, offering a 25% reduction in valve volume and 30% reduction in weight compared to existing models. This space-saving design supports easier integration into systems with limited space.

Many configurations. Valves are available in various configurations to suit different applications. They can handle a wide range of fluids, such as air, water, steam and more, with flow rates up to 700 liters per minute. The orifice diameter ranges from 1.6 to 50 mm, and the port size varies from 1/8" to 2", providing flexibility in system design. 

Ease of installation. Valves include a 360-degree rotatable coil, allowing for easy lead wire insertion and removal and reducing downtime during installation.

The JSX series includes several variants depending on your specific needs. For example, you can select direct-operated or pilot-operated types, options for high flows, high pressures, vacuum and steam, and units with modular mounting.
